We are seeking a talented Obstetric Assistant to become an essential part of our obstetrical team, providing exceptional care during night shifts. In this role, you will assist obstetrical staff in delivering comprehensive care to laboring patients, supporting surgical teams during operative procedures, and ensuring safety and comfort around the clock. Your expertise will contribute directly to positive patient outcomes and uphold the highest standards of obstetrical care.
Required Skills:
BLS certification via American Heart Association (AHA)
Prior surgical technician experience, preferably with C-section procedures
Ability to work night shifts (7 PM 7 AM)
Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations
Attention to detail and adherence to safety and aseptic protocols
Nice to Have Skills:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license (preferred but not required)
Experience floating between departments
Familiarity with obstetrical anatomy and physiology
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of Nursing Assistant experience preferred
Up to 2 years hospital experience advantageous
Completion of Nursing Assistant coursework within one year if applicable
Other Requirements:
Ability to travel as needed
Professional appearance in hospital scrubs (provided daily)
No call requirements
Willingness to work in diverse surgical and obstetrical settings
Compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
