The School District of La Crosse is accepting applications for a 1.0 FTE 4K Regular Education Teacher Assistant at State Road Elementary School beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. Projected start date: August 17, 2026
Position responsibilities:
Assist the 4-year-old program teacher with the students'' cognitive, social, emotional, and motor development.
Work as a critical member of an adult team to enhance student learning under the direction of the 4-year-old program teacher.
Assist 4-year-old program teacher with record keeping tasks as needed.
Work with children individually, in small groups or large groups.
Supervise activities as needed.
Modify or adapt the environment to match the needs of the students.
Assist students with bathroom/hygiene needs and other self-care routines.
Assist students at breakfast/lunch/snack.
Help with other generalized classroom tasks as assigned.
