As the Industrial Maintenance Operations Lead (Automation & Reliability), you’ll orchestrate daily maintenance activities that protect uptime and ensure every asset operates safely and to spec.
Your Impact
- Team leadership: Are you adept at organizing technicians and holding the line on standards? You’ll drive performance and ensure maintenance schedules are met.
- Preventive maintenance: Can you turn PM plans into fewer breakdowns? You’ll schedule and optimize routine service to extend equipment life.
- Rapid troubleshooting: Do you enjoy diagnosing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC issues? You’ll lead hands-on repairs to minimize downtime.
- Equipment lifecycle care: Comfortable managing installs, upgrades, and calibrations? You’ll ensure machines run within optimal tolerances.
- Safety first: Will you model and enforce EHS practices? You’ll ensure all maintenance work complies with policy and regulation.
- Recordkeeping: Do you value data? You’ll maintain accurate logs of PMs, repairs, and inspections for audits and analysis.
- Continuous improvement: Can you spot waste and reliability risks? You’ll recommend and implement improvements that boost uptime and reduce cost.
- Production partnership: Skilled at negotiating windows with operations? You’ll align maintenance with production plans to avoid disruptions.
- Talent development: Passionate about mentoring? You’ll train technicians and build a deeper, more versatile bench.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or technical certification (mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance) preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years maintaining industrial/manufacturing equipment, including 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Technical skills: Robust knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; exposure to automation and PLC troubleshooting is advantageous.
- Analytical approach: Excellent troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to coordinate across teams.
- Physical capability: Lift heavy items, work within tight spaces, stand for extended periods, and operate tools and machinery safely.
Preferred Background
- Experience in industries like automotive, mechanical assembly, or electronics assembly.
- CMMS and maintenance software experience.
