Job Title: Travel RN – Telemetry I
Location: Alexandria, LA 71301
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift/Schedule: Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, every other weekend
Job Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation).
Care for cardiac and telemetry patients in a telemetry unit (not a step-down unit).
Administer medications and treatments per established protocols.
Monitor patients for treatment effectiveness and adverse reactions.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assess patient and family learning needs and provide education.
Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with other healthcare team members.
Maintain compliance with Client and ANA nursing standards and competencies.
Requirements:
Active RN License in the state of employment or Compact RN License.
BLS Certification (AHA) required.
ACLS Certification (AHA) required.
Minimum 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred.
Must complete facility orientation and competency validation requirements.
Ability to care for cardiac and telemetry patients.
Preferences:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Prior Telemetry and Cardiac nursing experience preferred.
Experience working independently in an acute care setting preferred.
Unit Details:
Patient Population: Cardiac and Telemetry patients
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 5:1 to 6:1 (depending on staffing)
