    Job Title: Travel RN – Telemetry I
    Location: Alexandria, LA 71301
    Duration: 13 Weeks
    Shift/Schedule: Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, every other weekend


    Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation).
    • Care for cardiac and telemetry patients in a telemetry unit (not a step-down unit).
    • Administer medications and treatments per established protocols.
    • Monitor patients for treatment effectiveness and adverse reactions.
    • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
    • Assess patient and family learning needs and provide education.
    • Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
    • Delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with other healthcare team members.
    • Maintain compliance with Client and ANA nursing standards and competencies.

    Requirements:

    • Active RN License in the state of employment or Compact RN License.
    • BLS Certification (AHA) required.
    • ACLS Certification (AHA) required.
    • Minimum 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred.
    • Must complete facility orientation and competency validation requirements.
    • Ability to care for cardiac and telemetry patients.

    Preferences:

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    • Prior Telemetry and Cardiac nursing experience preferred.
    • Experience working independently in an acute care setting preferred.

    Unit Details:

    • Patient Population: Cardiac and Telemetry patients
    • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 5:1 to 6:1 (depending on staffing)
