What You’ll Do
  • Provide complex nursing care to high-acuity ER patients, including stroke, cardiovascular, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis cases
  • Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses and side effects
  • Perform assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
  • Document patient history, treatments, and care comprehensively
  • Educate patients and their families regarding their conditions and care plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Manage multiple critical cases independently in a fast-paced environment

What You Need
  • Valid RN license in Louisiana or a valid compact license
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (from AHA)
  • Minimum 1 year of ER or high-acuity nursing experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This is a full-time, high-acuity ER unit experience located at a reputable healthcare facility in Alexandria, LA. The unit handles a diverse range of extremely urgent cases including strokes, cardiovascular emergencies, sepsis, and trauma-related conditions, with dedicated onsite security 24/7.
