Required Skills:
- Valid RN license in New Mexico or a current Compact state license
- BLS and ACLS certifications via AHA current and valid
- Minimum 1 year of experience in critical care preferred; new graduates considered for competitive applicants
- Ability to independently perform complex patient assessments and provide comprehensive care
- Strong knowledge of ICU protocols, medication administration, and patient monitoring
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competency to address diverse patient needs
Nice to Have Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience with ventilated patients, cardiac emergencies, and complex medical conditions such as DKA, respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs
- Previous travel nursing experience or flexibility to adapt to new environments
Preferred Education and Experience:
- BSN is preferred but not required
- At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience; new graduates with strong critical care clinical exposure are encouraged to apply
Other Requirements:
- Must hold a current New Mexico RN license or a valid compact license
- Willingness to work 7PM-7AM night shifts on a full-time basis
- Ability to work every other weekend; no on-call or floating duties required
- Successful completion of organizational orientation and departmental competencies within the first 30 days
- Certification in TNCC preferred but not mandatory; ongoing professional development encouraged
