We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Travel Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to lead and support our catheterization lab team. What Youll Bring to the Role:
- Minimum of 5 years of Diagnostic, Interventional Radiology, or Cath/EP Lab experience.
- Proven proficiency in complex procedures including cardiac caths, peripherals, TAVR, and device implantation.
- Advanced certifications such as RCIS, RCES, RCS, or recognized radiography credentials; ARRT certification (with exemptions where applicable).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from AHA.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent; bachelors degree preferred.
- Licensure such as LRT (Louisiana), MRT (Texas), or RRT (New Mexico), as applicable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support daily cath lab operations, ensuring equipment functionality, sterile processes, and supply readiness.
- Perform complex imaging including fluoro, digital image acquisition, and intravascular ultrasound, supporting physicians during procedures.
- Maintain patient safety, privacy, and infection control standards during all interventions.
- Manage departmental inventory, charge capture, and accurate documentation for procedures.
- Serve as a clinical preceptor, mentoring technicians and technologists to uphold best practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote efficiency, patient-centered care, and safety protocols.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and uphold organizational values rooted in holistic, respectful care aligned with organizational missions and policies.
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety, aseptic techniques, and organizational policies throughout all procedures.
