Description:
3rd Shift Pool Operator
12-month hourly employee
Days of Work: Monday - Friday
Times of Shift: 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Job Summary:
- Monitor, test, and adjust pool water chemistry.
- Maintain accurate chemical and maintenance logs.
- Perform routine pool maintenance and backwashing.
- Maintain cleanliness of pool and locker areas.
- Safely handle and store pool chemicals.
- Frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds independently. Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
- Report equipment or safety issues.
- Assist with custodial and maintenance duties.
- Assist with snow removal.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of commercial or institutional swimming pool operations.
- Knowledge of pool chemical handling and water chemistry.
- Ability to follow safety practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with health department regulations.
- Ability to read chemical labels, SDS sheets, and instructions.
- Ability to work independently.
- Basic record-keeping skills.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred or ability to obtain.
Working Conditions:
Is under the supervision of the Night Foreman, Building and Grounds Manager, and Third Shift Supervisor
