Lead a high-performing manufacturing team and play a key role in supporting automotive production operations. 3rd Shift Metal Stamping Supervisor Description:

  • Supervise and coordinate third-shift metal stamping production operations to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Lead production teams operating stamping presses, progressive dies, robotic equipment, and automated manufacturing systems.
  • Monitor daily production schedules and ensure production targets are achieved.
  • Train, coach, and develop operators, press technicians, and production associates.
  • Enforce safety standards, company policies, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality requirements.
  • Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and scrap.
  • Coordinate die changes, equipment setups, and production changeovers.
  • Work closely with maintenance, quality, engineering, and tooling departments to support production needs.
  • Track key performance indicators including productivity, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and attendance.
  • Conduct shift meetings and communicate production priorities and expectations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing, and 5S activities.
  • Complete production reports, documentation, and employee performance evaluations.
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, disciplinary actions, and employee development.

Requirements:

  • Previous supervisory experience in metal stamping, automotive manufacturing, or high-volume production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of stamping presses, dies, tooling, and automated manufacturing processes.
  • Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, safety programs, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to read production schedules, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, and root cause analysis preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
  • Ability to work 3rd shift and support occasional overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with progressive dies and metal forming operations.
  • Knowledge of TS/IATF quality standards.
  • Tooling, setup, or maintenance experience a plus.
