Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and mentor shop floor staff, aligning with company policies and safety protocols.
- Foster a proactive safety culture and enforce comprehensive safety practices.
- Uphold rigorous quality standards and assist in troubleshooting and corrective action implementation when challenges arise.
- Organize daily production tasks and resources to ensure deliveries are timely and standards are met.
- Engage in new product rollouts, process enhancements, and drive continuous improvement projects.
- Streamline employee scheduling, development, and collaborative skills enhancement.
- Predict department’s needs for staffing and equipment, aiding in recruitment and resource planning.
- Champion lean manufacturing strategies, including efficiency and organizational projects like 5S.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in leadership within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Robust knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and shop operations.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, including SAP, is advantageous.
- Keen insight into lean principles and improvement practices.
- Strong skills in communication, problem-solving, and organization.
