About the Role

The 2nd Shift - Lead Sanitation Utility Worker plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety within our production kitchen during the second shift. This position is responsible for leading sanitation efforts to ensure all equipment, surfaces, and work areas meet regulatory and company standards. The lead sanitation worker coordinates with team members to implement effective sanitation procedures, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Success in this role directly impacts product quality, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding food safety protocols.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee sanitation activities during the 2nd shift to ensure all areas comply with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Train and guide sanitation team members on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
  • Apply and monitor sanitation procedures to maintain cleanliness of equipment, utensils, and production areas.
  • Conduct regular inspections to verify sanitation effectiveness and address any deficiencies promptly.
  • Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure sanitation schedules align with operational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of Food Safety and Sanitation Training.
  • Proven experience in applying sanitation procedures in a food production or kitchen environment.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate a team during sanitation operations.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation best practices.
  • Availability to work the 2nd shift at the Production Kitchen location.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a lead sanitation role within a high-volume food production facility.
  • Certification in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) or similar food safety programs.
  • Familiarity with sanitation equipment and cleaning chemicals used in food production.
  • Basic knowledge of quality assurance processes related to sanitation.
  • Experience with documentation and reporting related to sanitation compliance.
