The ideal candidate will have strong experience in metallography, microscopy, and materials testing and a proven ability to execute testing procedures, analyze results, and maintain laboratory equipment to quality standards.Responsibilities:Perform advanced metallographic sample preparation, including mounting, grinding, and polishing.Conduct detailed analysis using microscopy techniques, including laser microscopy.Execute destructive testing using hydraulic and electromechanical test equipment.Operate and monitor high-temperature furnaces for material testing.Interpret thermocouple readings and apply knowledge of thermocouple types.Use precision instruments, such as Fluke meters, to verify temperature and system performance.Perform soldering and support test setup and fixture assembly.Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance.Accurately document test results in accordance with SOPs and quality standards.Required Skills & Qualifications:3+ years of experience in metallography, microscopy, or materials testing.Hands-on proficiency with sample preparation and microscopic analysis.Proven experience with destructive testing methods and laboratory equipment.Knowledge of thermocouples and temperature measurement systems.Experience operating furnaces and working in high-temperature environments.Proficiency with electrical and measurement tools such as Fluke meters.Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.Preferred Skills:Experience with laser microscopy setup and image analysis workflows.Familiarity with SOP-driven quality systems in laboratory environments.Why BCforward?At BCforward, we believe in advancing lives and careers.
