Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate to be responsible to complete assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, and cost effective manner to support manufacturing, shipping and the entire organization by maintaining the equipment and facility.
Responsibilities
Support all departments by maintaining equipment and tools needed to meet production and shipping requirements in a cost efficient and quality manner.
Maintain the facility and building to ensure a safe and proper working environment
Implement and support continuous improvements to improve productivity and quality.
Create and maintain a documented preventive maintenance program facility wide according to manufacturer requirements, including safety checks of equipment as needed.
Communicate with supervisors to prioritize requirements.
Emphasize the importance of and ensure a safe, healthy, work environment by ensuring compliance with government and company safety and environmental policies.
Maintain and order supplies as needed.
Support production in the development and implementation of tooling/fixtures.
Support production in the assistance of special orders.
Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years facility / equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
High School diploma required
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems including PLC and robotic experience a plus
Knowledge of a powder coat systems helpful
Proficient in driving a forklift
Excellent communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and teamwork are required
Must be dependable
Must be able to follow through with instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor
Must be able to focus on tasks at hand and complete them
Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time
Working knowledge of 6S and Lean Manufacturing Principles
Must be able to make decisions and accept responsibility for those decisions
Excellent conflict resolution skills
Knowledge of OSHA compliance and environmental regulations
Must align with the Snap-on mission statement
Work flexible hours (i.e. overtime, as needed)
• Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), and Ear Plugs (If Applicable).
• Must adhere to safety guidelines
