Job Details

Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Lead maintenance activities and support the Maintenance Manager in daily operations
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair high-speed packaging and processing equipment
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting (110/230/460V systems, motors, relays, panels, wiring)
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and schedule work orders
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor programming on PLC systems
  • Maintain conveyors, wrappers, check-weighers, cartoners, and case packers
  • Support facility maintenance including plumbing, lighting, and building systems
  • Train employees on equipment safety, lifts, and welding practices
  • Assist with wastewater system operations and coverage
  • Coordinate and monitor contractors performing maintenance or repairs
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards including LOTO and OSHA guidelines
  • Maintain equipment readiness for production and minimize downtime
  • Fabricate parts and modify equipment as needed
  • Communicate effectively across maintenance, production, sanitation, and leadership teams

Qualifications – Needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Strong background in food manufacturing (USDA or FDA environments)
  • Experience with high-speed packaging and conveyor systems
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and PLCs
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols (LOTO, OSHA)
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
