Job Title: 2nd Shift Equipment Maintenance Technician

Location: Orangeburg, SC

Shift: M-F 2p till 10:30p

Pay: $28–$29/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking skilled Equipment Maintenance Technicians to join a growing multi-craft maintenance team supporting highly automated manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for candidates with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who enjoy solving complex equipment issues while working in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining automated production equipment, electrical systems, robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC-controlled machinery while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment and production systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic equipment to minimize downtime.
Diagnose AC/DC electrical circuits using electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, primarily Allen-Bradley systems; ability to read ladder logic is required. PLC programming experience is a plus.
Perform troubleshooting and repairs on pneumatic and hydraulic systems by interpreting system schematics.
Support robotic production equipment and automation systems.
Assist with equipment installation, startup, calibration, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, work orders, and equipment history.
Work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to quickly resolve equipment issues and improve reliability.
Promote a safe work environment by following all company safety procedures and participating in continuous safety improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of industrial equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience.
Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
Experience troubleshooting AC/DC electrical systems.
Experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs; ladder logic knowledge required. Programming experience is a plus.
Experience working with automated production equipment and industrial robotics.
Experience troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair industrial equipment.
Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Strong communication skills with a customer-service mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
