We are currently looking for a Technical Sales Representative to be based in IL, WI, MI, or IN.  This candidate will be responsible for calling on biopharmaceutical, academic research, and small biotechnology companies in the area. Key responsibilities include uncovering new business opportunities and growing revenue within their existing customer base. This will be accomplished through a strategic, consultative sales approach, as well as by utilizing your strong technical knowledge with proteins, biology, biochemistry, immunology, protein expression, and biomarkers, to name a few technical skills. Networking and prospecting within established clients as well as networking within established clients will be the key to success in this role.

Job Requirements:
  • BS Degree in a science field (Biochemistry, Biology, etc.); PhD, or master’s degree a plus
  • No sales required with hands-on technical experience OR life science sales experience with proteins, immunology, or cell culture, and a proven track record of success
  • Lab experience with the following: proteins, immunology, beads, peptides, oncology, biomarker, assays, cancer research, cell biology, or any related technologies
  • Highly motivated, independent, and with a strong desire to succeed
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, presentation, and time and territory management skills
  • Ability to speak with customers on a technical level
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Capable and interested in working in a team environment
  • Ability for overnight travel
  • Can-do attitude a must!
  • Based in IL, WI, MI, or IN
