This is an H-2A job order for General Farm Workers

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1.      Thinning apples

2.      Harvesting apples, pears, and cherries

3.      General farm work

4.      Training and pruning fruit trees

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

·        Willing to commit to the entire contract period

·        3 months of verifiable tree fruit farm work experience

·        Must be able to lift 60 lbs.

HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE: Contract period: June 01, 2026, through October 31, 2026.  35 hours per week 6 hrs. a day M-F and 5 hrs. a day on Saturday.

SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS: All piece rate work will be paid at the prevailing piece rate with a minimum of $17.13 an hour guaranteed.           

Harvest, thinning and pruning may be paid by hourly wage at $17.13 per hour or piece rate. If paid by piece rate:

 

Crop and Pay

This is an application forApples, Pears, and Cherries. Harvesting all crops is paid at a rate of $17.13 per hour. The payroll period shall biweekly.

Piece rate is as follow:


Apple Harvest per bin (42”x 46.5” X 24”):

  • Honey Crisp $27.50
  • Gala $24.48
  • Cosmic Crisp $24.48
  • Granny Smith $26.00

 

Apple Harvest per bin (44”x 47” X 24”):

·        Sugarbee $25.92

 

Pear Harvest per bin (47”x 47” X 24”):

  • All Varieties $24.74

·        Bartlett $25.37

 

 

 

* The payroll period shall be biweekly.

* The employer will furnish, without charge, all tools, supplies and personal protective equipment required in the performance of the specified work.

* Employer provided housing/kitchen facilities are available for employees who are unable to reasonably return to their place of residence the same day.

* Transportation costs to the job site for domestic workers from outside the local commuting distance of the job site will be reimbursed by the employer after 50% of the contract period. Transportation costs from the job site to the workers home will be provided to those domestic workers that complete the entire contract period.

* Employer guarantees to offer employment for the hourly equivalent of 3/4 or 75% of the workdays of the work contract beginning with the first day of work.
