Published Description: Aequor is currently hiring a full-time (37.5 hours/week) Sign Language Interpreter in Charleston, SC for the 26/27 school year!Pay: $51 - $56 per hour W2Position SummaryThe School-Based Sign Language Interpreter facilitates communication between students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and their peers, teachers, and staff within the educational environment. The Interpreter ensures equal access to instruction, school activities, and related services in accordance with federal and state regulations.Essential ResponsibilitiesInterpretation ServicesProvide real-time interpretation using American Sign Language (ASL), Signed Exact English (SEE), or other communication modesInterpret classroom instruction, discussions, assemblies, field trips, extracurricular activities, and school-related events.Provide voice interpretation (spoken English) when appropriate.
