accredited institution. A minimum of three years of experience in school counseling or school social work. Hold or eligible for North Carolina licensure in school counseling or school social work.

REPORTS TO: Executive Director, Student Services

JOB GOALS: To implement the requirements of the Mental Health

Professionals Demonstration grant in accordance with the grant, district, and state requirements.

To develop a diverse pipeline of school-based mental health professionals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the recruitment, selection, and placement of ALL participants (i.e. graduate school counseling and social work students) in high-needs schools to complete a one-year school counseling or school social work internship.

  • Serves as the liaison between the LEA, partnering universities, and agencies associated with the Alliance for Leading and Learning program.

  • Provides oversight to field placement/internship supervisors.

  • Manages the daily operations of the ALL program.

  • Works collaboratively with FSU and UNCP to create procedures to ensure the academic quality and integrity of the internships meet relevant accreditation requirements.

  • Coordinates training and orientation for ALL participants (i.e. graduate school counseling and social work students).

  • Assists in marketing the ALL program to connect future interns to CCS.

  • Conducts site visits to schools to evaluate the appropriateness and relevance of internships for ALL participants (i.e. graduate school counseling and social work students).

  • Facilitates the plan for implementing and evaluating the required grant actions/activities in collaboration with appropriate personnel.

  • Design appropriate strategies, staff development, and/or materials, required in order to implement the specific grant actions/activities.

  • Implement a data collection system to document the progress and outcomes of the specified grant activities.

  • Collaborate with appropriate personnel, departments, and schools to implement the grant requirements.

  • Monitor implementation to ensure adherence to grant requirements, timelines and outcomes.

  • Participate, as appropriate, in meetings related to the grant.

  • Be proficient in and model the use of technology to increase productivity and efficiency.

  • Prepare and disseminate reports to document grant progress and outcomes in accordance with the grant requirements.

  • Serves as team player and role model for other employees in the organization; demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement; supports and exhibits organizational core values of caring, respect, integrity, responsibility, high expectations, being customer driven, and valuing fairness.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Student Services.
