The VISTA member will support Commonwealth Catholic Charities' refugee resettlement program through community outreach, volunteer engagement, and donation initiatives that help welcome and support newcomers in the Richmond area. The member will help strengthen volunteer recruitment and retention efforts by creating outreach messaging, reconnecting with past volunteers and former clients, and helping build an alumni group that can support current refugee families and agency goals. The VISTA will also support community presentations, mission-focused events, partnership building, and public awareness efforts that educate and engage the community in the resettlement process. In addition, the member will help coordinate donation drives with faith communities, schools, civic groups, and other community partners to increase access to essential resources for refugee families.
