Assistant Professor of History & Teacher Education Program Coordinator
Job Summary
The Department of History at East Tennessee State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of History who will also serve as Teacher Education Program Coordinator. We seek a scholar specializing in U.S. History with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, collaborative leadership, and program development. Successful candidates will be expected to balance an active research agenda, service assignments, and a 3/3 teaching load consisting of advanced undergraduate and master's level courses in the candidate's area of specialty in addition to survey courses in U.S. history. This position begins on August 15, 2026.
