Qualifications: Education/Certification:Clear and valid Texas driver's licenseHigh School Diploma or GED Certificte Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Ability to follow verbal and written instructionsKnowledge of basic construction and routine maintenance and repair proceduresAbility to communicate effectively (verbally)Ability to operate hand and power toolsAbility to work independently Experience:Three (3) years experience as a locksmith.Five (5) years experience in general building maintenance Major Responsibilities and Duties: Maintenance and Repair1. Maintain all door hardware in the district.2. Change lock combinations, set locks for as many as four different keyways, disassemble and repair locks, make keys, install locks/door checks/panic hardware.3. Responsible for issuance of keys to employees and vendors.4. Troubleshoot and repair RFID card readers/door hardware.5. Complete repairs as directed on work orders or by administration.6. Assist with general maintenance as needed to complete tasks.7. Preform all other duties as assigned by supervisor. Safety8. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting and climbing. Operate equipment and use tools according to established safety procedures.9. Correct unsafe conditions in work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.10. Maintain tools and equipment and perform preventive maintenance as required.
