As openings become available these applications will be reviewed and considered for interview.Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is preferred CPRFirst Aid Certificate and Minimum age of 18 years of age.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesOverseeing students andor special education students over scheduled routes andor tofrom special excursionsEnforcing rules regulations and laws to maintain safety during transportEnsuring the safety of special education students during transport loading and unloading from buses including correct usage of proper tie-down of medical equipment or student assistive devicesMaintain student ridership rostersStrive to develop and maintain good working relationships with studentsUse of district-approved techniques to maintain order on bus and enforce school safety standardsEnforce school system&rsquos rules regarding student conduct on the busAre responsible for assisting drivers in preparation of weekly reports on number of students trips or &ldquoruns&rdquo work hours miles and fuel consumption as requiredAssisting the bus driver in maintaining the cleanliness of their assigned busMandatory state training and on-going in-service classroom training to include state and local laws regulations and policies safe driving practices driver-pupil relations emergency evacuation procedures special needs of students who are disabled or emotionally troubledCPRFirst Aid Certificate andCarries out other tasks as assigned.Work HoursWorkhours will be in accordance with hours determined by the Executive Director ofTransportation.Application ProcedureThe following documents must be attachedfor this application to becompleteHigh School Diploma or GED Certificate if applicable.
