GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the general direction of an Airfield Supervisor, the Airfield Technician I performs technical work related to the operations and duties of leading and assigning tasks in safety, maintenance, and security within the airport environment. This role involves various tasks, including the maintenance of airfield paint markings, pavement condition indexing, and field conditioning, as well as ensuring security requirements are met. The Airfield Technician I performs daily grounds cleanup, manages trash and debris removal (Excluding Hazardous Materials, conducts pavement inspections, and conducts repairs on asphalt, concrete, and fencing.
This position requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of our 24/7 operations.
Requires availability for emergency call-in.
COMPENSATION: $22.82

· Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing tasks to ensure a safe working environment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting potential hazards.

REQUIRED FOR ALL HCAA JOBS
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS)
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· One (1) year experience in working with heavy equipment, general construction, maintenance, or related field.
· Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
· Obtain and maintain Ramp and Movement Area (MAT) driving privileges
· Must possess a valid Florida Driver License.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
· Continuous standing & walking.
· Continuous lifting up to 50 Ibs or more.
· Continuous bending, stooping, pushing, pulling & dragging.
· Reaching overhead, kneeling & crawling up to 6 hours per day.
· Occasional climbing.
· Continuous exposure to extreme weather, chemicals, insects & excessive noise.
· Continuous use of car/light truck.
· Continuous use of heavy equipment and power tools.
