Central Specialty Pet, a division of Central Garden & Pet, is looking for qualified summer interns to join our team! Paid 10-week Summer 2026 Internship positions will reside in the Small Animal, Pet Bird and Wild Bird business segments at our Chilton, WI location.

These are some example projects you may work on as a Summer Intern:
- Lead a project that investigates chemical and nutritional characteristics of ingredients used in wild bird feed.
- Review existing research, conduct field evaluations, and analyze data to identify factors affecting product performance.
- Help guide teams in improving quality standards and recommendations for future development.
What are we looking for in you?
- Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program from an accredited college or university.
- Prefer Animal Science or Biology majors
- Specific interest or experience in one of the following areas preferred – animal nutrition, food/feed processing, food science
- Have and maintain high academic standards with your education institution.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail
- Demonstrate excellent team leadership capabilities.
- Experience reading/performing scientific or research protocols
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Show evidence of passion, self-starting capabilities, and achievements in academic or non-academic activities.

- This position pays $24-27 per hour depending on experience
- Hybrid Work Schedule. Onsite office in Chilton, WI
