Love working outdoors and keeping parks looking their best? The City of Westminster Streets Department is looking for two (2) Seasonal Grounds Equipment Operators to help maintain our beautiful parks and public spaces.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Operate equipment like riding mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and other grounds tools • Mow, trim, landscape, and plant trees across City properties • Help install and repair playground equipment • Keep parks, parking lots, and trails clean and litter-free • Haul materials and assist with general park maintenance projects
Skills and Education Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED • 3+ years of equipment operation experience (or equivalent training) • Basic mechanical skills • Ability to work safely outdoors in all weather • Strong teamwork and communication skills
Work Environment:
• Outdoor, hands-on work, up to 20 hours per week • Physically active role (lifting, moving, operating equipment) • Work independently and as part of a team maintaining City parks and grounds
Pay and Schedule:
• $20/hour, not benefits eligible (Non-Exempt) • Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, Seasonal (April-November), not to exceed 499 hours
