SEASONAL EMPLOYEE - C&M
CONSTRUCTION & MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
Up to $23.00 Per. Hour / (DOE) Depending on Experience
The seasonal employees will be used for chaining, pest control, facilities, pipeline repair, and other related duties as required or assigned by supervisor.
The District's summer irrigation season. Seasonal employees usually come on board at the start of the summer season or when demand warrants the need and work up to a maximum of six (6) months.
Experience and skills needed (preferred) for these positions:
Prior work in the construction, repair, cleaning, and maintenance of irrigation canals, ditches, pipelines, pump-lines and structures; prior work in general carpentry, painting, plumbing, concrete and other similar tasks; prior work experience in operating construction equipment and power tools such as mowers, edgers and blowers; prior experience in the maintenance of hand tools and assigned equipment & perform preventive maintenance on such; ability to operate, grease, and maintain gunite-related equipment.

Base Rate: Starts at $18.00 per hour
1 - 5 years of relevant work experience: Additional $1-$2 above base rate.
6 - 10 years of relevant work experience: Additional $3-$4 above base rate.
11 plus years of relevant work experience: Additional $5 above base rate.
Additional Compensation may be provided for those that hold a Class "A" Drivers License.
Note: Must be 18 years or older to apply.
Necessary Requirement: Possession of an appropriate California drivers license (Class C). At time of hire: background check.
Note: Turlock Irrigation District is looking for persons to hire as Seasonal Employees [C&M] in our Construction & Maintenance Department for up to six (6) months during the summer irrigation season. Work hours will depend on business needs.
THIS IS NOT A REGULAR FULL-TIME OPENING.
