No experience necessary. We will train you to join our dedicated team building the most advanced and sophisticated submarines in the world! All entry level candidates will be placed in one of the following trades based on business needs at time of hire:
Shipfitter Responsible for laying out, fabricating and installing metal structural parts, such as plates, bulkheads, frames, foundations, etc. Align and tracks welds structural parts Laying out & shooting studs, gluing & installing tiles & anti-sweat hardboard
Painter and Sound Dampener Preserves the hull and components by sealing the submarines with chemicals and paints to prevent corrosion and protect against the accumulation of marine life
Welder Responsible for fusing materials together with a wide range of welding processes
Outside Machinist Works on the submarine doing assembly and shipboard mechanical work that takes place in the shipyard
Pipefitter Installs, assembles, fabricates, maintains, and repairs mechanical piping systems that carry liquids and gases under varying pressures
Outside Electrician Responsible for the electrical wiring of the machines and related equipment supporting many miles of cable in the submarines
Sheetmetal Responsible for laying out, fabrication, assembly, and installation of all light gage metalwork which includes air-conditioned ductwork, lockers, cabinets, prefabricated bulkheads, doors and furniture
Qualifications Required ----------------------
High school senior and graduating by August of 2026 US Citizen Available to train and work on any shift Ability to work at heights, confined spaces and in extreme weather conditions as required Possess your own basic hand tools
Preferred Qualifications ----------------------
Vocational HS Skills Ability to work successfully in a production/construction environment Applicant will be required to work in a collaborative and team environment Ability to communicate effectively with supervision and peers
