Join our school family! We are seeking a warm, organized, and dependable middle School Secretary to support daily operations and foster a welcoming, efficient school front office. The successful candidate will be a team player with strong communication and tech skills who enjoys working in a dynamic educational setting.
What You'll Do:
Serve as the school's front desk representative: answer phones, greet visitors, and assist students and families.
Maintain accurate student records, manage attendance, and prepare related reports.
Assist principal and staff with routine clerical tasks, such as copying, filing, scheduling, and internal communication.
Coordinate daily and long-term substitute teacher coverage.
Provide basic first aid and support to students who visit the office for minor medical needs.
Manage and distribute incoming/outgoing mail, deliveries, and school memos.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and district policy.
Perform general bookkeeping or supply ordering as assigned.
Support coordination of school events, field trips, and family communication.
Assist with registration and withdrawal processes.
What You'll Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two or more years of successful clerical, secretarial, or customer service experience.
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and positivity.
Experience using Skyward or other student information systems, preferred.
CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain), preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Previous experience in a school or public office setting.
