Position Purpose: A MTSS Tutor provides academic or behavioral interventions to support and deliver direct services to students under the direction of a certified teacher or other licensed employee. This classification is generally assigned to work with small groups of students needing tier II or III interventions.
Responsibilities:
1Instructional Support: to provide instructional support to students for academics or behavior under the direction of a certified teacher or other licensed employee. This includes teaching and learning-based support and instructional support in relation to student social, emotional, and behavioral development.Priority: EssentialPercent of Time: 80%

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to communicate with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians
Experience working or volunteering in a school setting
Preferred Qualifications:Associates degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a similar field
Some buildings are supported by Title I funds and require additional levels of education or certification. If hired for at a Title I building, Paraprofessional Certification will be required prior to hire or work with students.
