The Head Middle School Boys Basketball Coach is responsible for leading the athletic program in accordance with AHSAA and NFHS guidelines at i3 Academy in Birmingham, Alabama, starting July 1, 2026.
Responsibilities include maintaining certifications, managing budgets, developing athletes’ skills and character, ensuring compliance with regulations, scheduling games, and communicating effectively with stakeholders. The coach will mentor students academically and emotionally, promote sportsmanship, and collaborate with school staff.
Qualifications involve a preferred bachelor’s degree, coaching experience, strong understanding of basketball fundamentals, leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and availability for evening and weekend commitments. The role emphasizes fostering a positive sports culture, student development, and ethical coaching practices.
