Job Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services and Director of Curriculum and Instruction, be responsible for the implementation of the district's literacy and English language arts instructional program. The Literacy Intervention Content Specialist will work with teachers and administrators in the implementation of a balanced literacy program and monitor the program for effectiveness. The content specialist duties include providing professional learning, modeling, coaching, and other support for teachers in the area of balanced literacy instruction, lesson design, student grouping, and adjusting instruction based on identified student needs. In this role, the literacy content specialist will develop and facilitate workshops for families focusing on ways to support literacy development at home. Bilingual is preferred. The current opening for the 2026-2027 school year at various sites for K-8 grade levels. The position is full-time (1 FTE) and includes benefits, and salary placement is based on experience/education (up to 6 years of accepted work experience relevant to the position).
