Job Summary
Actively participates in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the education programs for Preschool age children as required by state and federal laws augmented by District Policy and programs, in compliance with contractual agreements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Adheres to the California Standards for the Teaching Profession 2. Provides instructional program(s) based on the Preschool Learning Foundations, California Preschool Curriculum Framework and/or Early Childhood Educator Competencies 3. Completes mandated observations and assessments including but not limited to Child Development Outcomes and the State's Desired Results 4. Participated in Individual Education Plan/Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) process for children with special needs 5. Attend relevant District/ Site Staff meeting as required 6. Serve as a liaison between the site and Educational Services 7. Provide for the care and supervision of students at the site 8. Create and maintain accurate files of licensing and classroom assessment 9. Order and complete licensing forms and maintain license in current standing 10. Complete associated tasks related to the program compliance 11. Monitor the health and safety of the Early Childhood Preschool classroom 12. Monitor paperwork to maintain program compliance 13. Support with the recruitment, enrollment of children for the program 14. Work with parents and community partnerships related to the Early Childhood program 15. Create a teaching environment with a variety of activities including but no limited to: quiet activity and play, rest and relaxation, eating, toileting, and diaper changes 16. Other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: • 24 ECE/CD Units from an accredited school • Valid Child Development Permit or higher issued by CTC • Baccalaureate or advanced degree with an Associates of Arts degree in Early childhood Education or coursework equivalent to a major relating to Early Childhood Education • Complete a Child Abuse Central Index review, CA Department of Justice • CPR, First Aide and Pediatric First Aid Certificate • Immunization: Pertussis and Measles • Must complete 15 hours of health and safety training • Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator License • Minimum of 3 years of full-time teaching experience preferred • Bilingual (Spanish/English) capabilities preferred
