QUALIFICATIONS:
- NJ School Administrator or Principal Certificate
- Human Resources certificate or Human Resources experience preferred
- Legal background preferred
- Knowledge of New Jersey Department of Education current employment regulations and possess the ability to interpret and apply local, state, and/or federal legislation, requirements, and standards to district programs and services
- Minimum of three years Central Office related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with administration and/or supervision in a school district setting, education and/or training in personnel-related functions
- Directs the planning and implementation of policies and procedures including recruitment, certification, employment, processing, benefits, record maintenance, assignment, evaluation, and dismissal
- Must possess knowledge of Onboarding/Outboarding processes
- Knowledge of principles, practices, and trends of public personnel administration
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent analytical, verbal, organizational and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in the areas of personnel management, school administration and supervision of programs and staff
- Knowledge of educational software applications such as Frontline Education and Genesis
- Facilitates novice teacher mentorship programs
- Knowledge of Danielson Evaluation Framework
- Evaluates staff in accordance with the district's performance evaluation system
- Prepares recommendations for school board meeting agendas and attends school board meetings
- Participates in superintendent's cabinet meetings to assist in formulation, implementation, and evaluation of appropriate policies and procedures concerning the school district.
