CE Childcare Associate I - Mascot Club Various Locations9 months 6 hoursdayNon Interim PositionGrade 15 16.48hourStart Date08012025Hours 630 am - 830 am & 230 pm - 630 pmPurpose StatementThe job of CE Childcare Associate I is done for the purposes of providing support to the instructional program within assigned classroom with specific responsibility for implementing programs for the personal and emotional growth of the referred students assisting in the monitoring of behaviors and communicating observations to teachers parents and administrators.This job reports to CE Childcare Associate VEssential FunctionsAdministers first aid for the purpose of providing immediate care for ill medically fragile andor injured children.Assists students as needed with e.g. diapering toilet training feeding etc. for the purpose of addressing personal care needs.Assists the site manager with age appropriate activities by working with individual or small groups of children e.g. games art music science language nutrition playground washing hands etc. for the purpose of presenting andor reinforcing learning concepts.Communicates with internal for the purpose of conveying andor receiving information required to perform job functions.Completes a minimum of 18 verifiable hours of approved training annually for the purpose of meeting mandated requirements per Department of Health Services regulations.Distributes instructional andor play materials for the purpose of providing required supplies.Establishes positive individual relationships for the purpose of building student confidence and self esteem.Implements under the supervision of assigned site manager instructional programs and lesson plans for the purpose of presenting andor reinforcing learning concepts.Maintains classroom equipment work area and manual and electronic files and records for the purpose of ensuring availability of items providing written reference providing a safe comfortable supportive learning environment andor meeting mandated requirements.Maintains acceptable behavior standards for the purpose of ensuring that behavior is consistent with district and program policy.Monitors individual andor groups of students in a variety of settings e.g. snack time group or individual games playground activities quiet time field trips classroom homework time etc. for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.Organizes quiet or active age appropriate indoor andor outdoor activities for the purpose of actively participating in the learning activities with children.Prepares nutritional snacks lunches bottles etc. for the purpose of complying with established guidelines.Provides ongoing feedback for the purpose of informing supervisor teacher and parents of students progress.Transfers children directly fromto parents or designee for the purpose of ensuring safety of children and meeting the District requirements.Other FunctionsPerforms other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.Job Requirements Minimum QualificationsSkills Knowledge and AbilitiesSKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Ability is also required to work with a diversity of individuals work with specific job-related data and utilize job-related equipment.
