We are currently seeking candidates for the position of substitute teachers. A substitute teacher directs the learning of an entire class or group of students and plays a crucial role in maintaining the academic progress of the students enrolled in Middleborough Public Schools.
Substitute placement is managed in the Middleborough Public School District by a web-based software program Substitute Online. To be a substitute for our district, you MUST have a working computer with internet access.
Duties:
• Reports to the main office upon arrival at the school building, arriving 15-20 minutes early to review all materials and make sure youre prepared before the students arrive in the classroom. • Implements lesson plans outlined and left by the absent teacher. • Reports all incidents of students, including injuries, accidents, illnesses, and behavioral problems to the appropriate authority immediately or as soon as is reasonably possible.
Salary Range: Teachers: $120.00 - $145.00 per day Also needed ESP (English as a Second Program) Paraprofessionals: $16.00 per hour
Appointment Process:
Must be willing to work two to three days per week. MUST work at least (2) full day assignments per month to remain on the active substitute list. Must have internet access.
