Primary Purpose: The purpose of an Instructional Coach is to improve teaching and learning by transforming the culture in which:
• teaching is transparent and is the focus among professionals. • planning for instruction is thorough, collaborative, and pedagogically sound. • conversations about improving instruction are constant, data-driven, and purposeful.
Instructional Coaches will support campus instructional staff in lesson internalization and differentiation, instructional best practices, understanding of content, data analysis, and overall improvement in teaching and learning based on TEKS.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification: Bachelors Degree Masters Degree preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills: • Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment • Ability to organize, coordinate, and facilitate instruction • Ability to interpret data • Ability to provide ongoing, targeted professional development • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience: Three years experience as a classroom teacher Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Policy, Reports, and Law: Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.

Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
