Title:  Warehouse Worker

Reports To: Senior Warehouse Coordinator/Warehouse Manager

Work Schedule: 7-3:30 pm, M-Fri; OT required during peak season.

 

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks within the warehouse of a manufacturing plant, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. This role involves working closely with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods through the warehouse, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the overall operations of the manufacturing plant.
Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Unload incoming shipments, verify the accuracy of shipments against packing slips or purchase orders, and inspect goods for damage. Record and report discrepancies or damages to the Warehouse Coordinator or Manager.
  • Properly store materials and products in designated locations within the warehouse. Organize and maintain inventory in a neat and accessible manner.
  • Pick and prepare materials and products for shipping using manual stocking. Ensure that orders are complete, accurate, and ready for delivery in a timely manner.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move materials and products within the warehouse and to/from loading docks and production areas.
  • Assist with labeling and preparing products for shipment. Ensure that shipments are correctly packaged, labeled, and documented according to company and customer specifications.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or accidents immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, including sweeping, disposing of waste, and organizing storage areas.
  • Other duties as requested, including general housekeeping of the plant/warehouse
Required Skills:  
  • High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in staging, storing, and shipping materials and products.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain an orderly warehouse environment.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to warehouse operations and material handling.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting to management.
  • Comfortable using dock plates, carts, and ladders up to 18 feet tall.
Education & Experience: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
 
Physical Requirements: 
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, bend, twist, stoop, stand, and walk for at least 3 hours at a stretch, over an 8 or 10-hour shift, with 15-minute breaks.
