Develop new and maintain (SOPs) for cleaning and sanitizing all departments
Monitor the (EMP) within the plant. Investigate all positive EMP swabs, complete Corrective Action reports for positives including recommended changes to prevent recurrence
Oversee training of personnel on proper cleaning and sanitization processes as defined in SOPs; ensure training is effective and followed
Lead Periodic Infrastructure Cleaning (PIC) and Periodic Equipment Cleaning (PEC) programs for all areas
Monitor wet wash processes within the facility and hygienic zoning
Monitor (CIP) programs and chemical usage for all departments
Develop and maintain metrics for validating environmental cleanliness
Recommend Capital changes to improve condition of equipment. Be involved with new equipment specification to conform to cleanliness
Ensures all monthly swabs are taken within the packaging department
Monitor and assist in the preparation of cleaning chemicals
Conduct preoperational inspections of departments on a routine basis.
Special projects as assigned by the all leadership
Monthly reports detailing activities around EMP program; review all production floor micro data (exp ATP swabs from Nutritional)
Write Work Orders for equipment repairs and follow-up with Maintenance to ensure repairs are completed in the correct priority
Environmental, Safety, Quality, and Legal Requirements
To be successfully:
Three plus years of experience as a sanitization supervisor in the food and beverage industry
Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitization chemicals and associated safety protocols
Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate work
Ability to design and implement training programs
Ability to coordinate and manage outside contractors
Bachelor's degree in food science or a similar field ideal.
