PAINTER (PAINT LINE)

 

Job Description: Performs a combination of production tasks, which may include: loading machinery, positioning work, setting up jobs, adjusting and operating machinery. Observes machine processing for proper functioning and production of parts or products. May load and unload materials, parts or products, pack products, and may clean surface of machines and work areas.

Pay & Shift:

1st shift Mon- Fri 6am- 2:30pm

$17.50 an hour

 Key Duties & Responsibilities:
 1. Assure quality product is being produced.
 2. To ensure customer expectations are being met both with product results and with packaging requirements.
 3. Be sure that material is labeled correctly.
 4. Accurately fill out SIP, scrap, and other reports as required.
 5. Clean and keep the area orderly to ensure the safety of all employees.
 6. Alert Supervisor, Group Lead, or Quality personnel when processing problems arise.
 7. Perform other duties as assigned.
 8. Safety – Maintain a safe work environment through the safe work practices established by Group Dekko. Read and follow the General Safety and Housekeeping Rules that are posted within your facility. Report any unsafe conditions to your immediate Supervisor.

 Knowledge & Skills:

Previous paint experience helpful.

 Education, Certificates & or Experience:
 High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

 

Summary: Powder coat Line – Employee will load and unload parts and hangers into the paint line, this motion requires repetitive reaching above shoulders and moving on the line constantly, they will follow specific shop orders and specifications, they will use the computer to create labels for part numbers and quantities. They have 4 painters that rotate every hour. The Paint room is climate control, and the use of air tools may be required. 50 lbs. lifting for this area.
