1.0 ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
1.1 Must follow all safety regulations required by Company and OSHA.
1.2 Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
1.3 Must observe and learn process of production and equipment knowledge.
1.4 Required to have the ability to complete daily task without assistance
1.5 Ability to initiate trouble shooting skills to improve the process and/or make repairs
1.6 Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
1.7 Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
1.8 Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
1.9 Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; and establishing person networks
1.10 Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
1.11 Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
1.12 Ability to effectively apply basic electrical skills (learning the use of a multimeter)
1.13 Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
1.14 Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
1.15 Have a working understand of food safety requirements as outlined in BRC, SQF and USDA.
1.16 Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
1.17 Fill out Daily Maintenance Form.
1.18 Other duties may be assigned.
1.19 Required to stay in role for 1 year before advancement opportunities in another mechanical skill class
