A manufacturing company in West Palm Beach is looking to hire an experienced CNC Machinist for their team. The position is primarily responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills for medium to large parts.
Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate milling machines with 3, 4, and 5 axes with fanuc controls
* Keep production logs up to date and carry out required tasks.
* Produce parts for different machines, sometimes repeating the same part run.
* Select appropriate inserts, tools, and fixtures for machines.
* Use CAD files as required for the production process.
* Control various machine settings to complete tasks effectively.
* Collaborate with the Quality Inspector to ensure parts meet drawing specifications.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience performing CNC set-ups OR Manual Machining is required
* Experience with micrometers and calipers required
* Blueprint interpretation required
* Proficient understanding of GD&T symbolling is preferred, can be trained on
* Previous mill experience is preferred, lathe experience is welcomed
* Conversational programming is a plus, can be trained on
* Previous experience with Mastercam is a major plus
