Position Summary
The Clerk supports daily warehouse and logistics operations by performing administrative and data-entry functions, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating paperwork for inventory movement, shipping/receiving, and customer orders. This role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform accurate data entry for inbound/outbound loads, receipts, transfers, and order transactions
- Prepare, print, and file shipping/receiving documents (BOLs, labels, packing lists, manifests)
- Verify paperwork for completeness and accuracy; resolve basic discrepancies with the team
- Track inventory movements and update logs/spreadsheets/systems as required
- Communicate with warehouse associates, leads, and supervisors regarding priorities and status updates
- Answer phones/emails as needed and provide clerical support to operations
- Maintain organized physical and electronic files; follow document retention procedures
- Follow all safety, security, and site policies (including client code of conduct)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 6+ months clerical, admin, or logistics/warehouse office experience preferred
- Strong data-entry accuracy; basic math and record-checking skills
- Comfortable using computers (email, spreadsheets, warehouse systems)
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work with minimal supervision
- Professional communication and customer-service mindset
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Office/warehouse environment (may include noise, varying temperatures, and forklift traffic)
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and perform repetitive keyboarding
- Occasional lifting of light office materials (as needed)
