What Will You Do
As a Dining Room Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise the activities of all associates assigned to the floor, ensuring that breaks occur in a timely manner
- Train new and existing team members under the direction of management
- Handle disciplinary matters and ensure quality employee performance
- Enforce and adhere to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of food and beverage orders
- Assist team members with service and/or billing issues
- Verify proper set-up, service, and cleaning of assigned area throughout the shift
- Visit with guests to ensure satisfaction, promptly communicating any opportunities to management
- Analyze and resolve all problems with employees, guests, client, and the operation with the assistance of management
- Perform opening and closing procedures
- Verify all paperwork is complete and turned in at conclusion of shift
- Ensure all workstations, storerooms, bar, host stand, and dining areas remain clean, sanitized, safe, and sufficiently stocked
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the restaurant, follows and upholds all health codes and sanitation regulations
- Complete daily point-of-sale reports as requested by management
- Adhere to and enforce inventory and labor control measures, performs inventory counts as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned
More About You
To be considered for this position, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in a front-of-house restaurant or foodservice position in a high-volume environment
- Have one-year supervisory experience in a restaurant or service environment (preferred)
- Have experience in credit card processing
- Have previous experience using a computerized POS system (required)
- Have previous experience with MICROS POS (preferred)
- Be able to obtain a City of Green Bay alcohol operators license within 60 days of start date
- Be knowledgeable in the operation of a high-volume sit-down restaurant with high service standards
- Possess basic knowledge of bar operations and standard drink recipes and alcohol brand names
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate with staff and to prepare written reports
- Have strong time management and organizational skills, ability to direct the work activities of several team members simultaneously and plan ahead
- Be highly motivated, able to take initiative, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be team-oriented, able to work effectively with others
Physical Requirements
As a Dining Room Supervisor, you will be required to:
- Remain on feet for the entire length of the shift, constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
- Maneuver between tables and around corners
- Lift, balance, and move large food trays weighing up to 50 lbs
- Have visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare bills
