The job of Secretary is done for the purpose/s of assisting the building administrator in ensuring the smooth running of the facility.
This job reports to building administrator/principal.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
SKILLS are required to perform multiple, non-technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: applying pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or laws; operating standard office equipment; performing standard clerical procedures; preparing and maintaining accurate records; keyboarding; and utilizing pertinent software applications.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: concepts of grammar and punctuation; office methods and equipment; legal procedures, policies, and regulations related to student enrollment and confidentiality of student records.
ABILITY is required to schedule activities and/or meetings; routinely gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use basic, job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others; analyze data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with data of widely varied types and/or purposes; and utilize job-related equipment. In working with others, problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requiring analysis based on organizational objectives; and problem solving with equipment is limited. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: being attentive to detail; communicating with diverse groups; meeting deadlines and schedules; working under time constraints; multi-tasking; maintaining confidentiality and working with frequent interruptions.

Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; and operating within a defined budget and/or financial guidelines. Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical
demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 70% sitting, 20% walking, and 10% standing. The job is performed under a generally hazard free environment.
Experience Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
Education High School diploma with 2.5 GPA
