Job Overview

As an Applications Development Analyst, you will analyze, document, and remediate web applications and databases to align with the new Florida PALM system. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and document specifications of current web applications.
• Develop remediation strategies for web-based applications and databases.
• Collaborate with business users to enhance applications based on current needs.
• Remediate applications to prepare for FDOT's use of PALM.
• Work with database administrators to create views and stored procedures.
• Update applications to incorporate new chart of accounts and other changes.
• Analyze financial data and recommend improvements to the data model.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for task management and deployments.
• Participate in scrum and team meetings.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with technical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in technology or finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Classic ASP, ASP.NET, Angular or React, SQL Server, and Oracle.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud-based (Azure) platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle.
• Proficiency in software development and agile best practices.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Preferences

• Knowledge of full stack development and various development platforms.
• Familiarity with the SCRUM Framework and Agile methods.
• Experience with financial systems such as ERP.
• Understanding of data management concepts like ETL, Data Warehousing, and Data Lakes.
