Are you a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist with excellent transfusion service expertise seeking an exciting travel opportunity? We are looking for dedicated professionals like you to join our dynamic team, providing vital laboratory services across diverse settings. This role offers the chance to expand your experience, travel to new locations, and contribute to patient care excellence.

In this position, you'll perform a wide range of routine and complex laboratory procedures, including blood banking, specimen processing, testing, and reporting, with a focus on high-quality transfusion services. You'll operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, participate in protocol development, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards. Your expertise will support the accuracy and safety of patient results while providing exceptional service to diverse populations.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent laboratory training as per CLIA regulations.
  • Certification as MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HHS.
  • Ability to perform blood banking procedures with strong transfusion service skills.
  • Proficiency in operating laboratory instrumentation and using Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Strong communication skills for documentation and reporting critical values.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Additional certifications such as CB(ASCP) or SBB.
  • Experience in a travel or clinical laboratory environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards and protocol development.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse patient populations.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant biological or clinical laboratory science field.
  • No experience required for graduates of accredited clinical laboratory training programs.
  • Minimum one year of approved clinical laboratory experience, including blood banking, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, or urinalysis, within the last five years.

Other Requirements:
  • Must possess current certification (MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT) and maintain it throughout employment.
  • Availability to travel and work a schedule from Saturday through Monday, 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
  • Ability to adapt to various hospital or laboratory settings and meet the developmental needs of patients served.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and protocol updates.

Hourly Pay Rate: $36.85
