The Athletic Department Secretary reports to the Athletic Director and is a full-time, non-exempt role earning $18.11/hour for 206 days, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm.
Qualifications include a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, proficiency in office machines, Microsoft Word, and athletic department software (FMX, Hometown Tickets, Final Forms, etc.), along with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities encompass managing student athletic records, eligibility verification, coordinating athletic events, preparing reports, handling correspondence, securing officials and security, processing payments, and maintaining athlete and staff documentation.
Additional duties involve supporting athletic activities, promoting sportsmanship, and assisting with department events.
Working conditions may include exposure to biological materials, inclement weather, and interaction with unruly individuals. The role requires professionalism, good health, and adherence to policies, including background checks.
