Position Overview

We are looking for passionate and civic-minded individuals to join our team as Paid Canvassers. In this critical role, you will be at the forefront of promoting democratic participation by encouraging voter engagement. Paid Canvassers will engage directly with community members, helping to ensure that eligible voters are informed and ready to cast their ballots. Your work will directly contribute to fostering a healthy democracy and strengthening civic engagement in communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct door-to-door canvassing and voter engagement activities in public spaces for multiple hours per day.
• Canvass multiple shifts per day, with flexible scheduling throughout the week, while meeting daily and weekly voter outreach goals.
• Effectively communicate with the public to administer surveys, educate on the election process, eligibility requirements, and deadlines.
• Stay updated on changes in voter laws to provide accurate, up-to-date information to potential voters.
• Use canvassing applications, such as MiniVAN, to log data and track engagement. Previous experience with these platforms is preferred but not required.
• Adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment to achieve campaign objectives.

Qualifications

• At least 1 cycle of canvassing experience in voter engagement, campaign work, or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and inform diverse groups of people.
• Ability to handle shifts involving long periods of walking and engaging with the public.
• Willingness to learn about voter laws, registration requirements, and canvassing technology.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Compensation

• Pay: $22/hour, Bi-Weekly
• Employment Type: Contract
• Employment Duration: Present - November 6, 2024
