Overview

American Furniture Rental (AFR) is looking for a Warehouse Specialist days in our location in Woodridge, IL. Must have warehouse experience. Able to lift couches, chairs, tables, clean furniture, etc. Clean background and able to pass pre-employment drug test (12 panels).

Responsibilities
  • Unload/Load trucks using an RF scanning device.
  • Compare paperwork to NAV inventory system.
  • Check NAV to ensure all inventory has been scanned according to order paperwork.
  • Post all collections and deliveries.
  • Confirm all paperwork and pickups via Logistics Dashboard.
  • Touch up and reclass merchandise in warehouse using appropriate product protection.
  • Lift, carry and place products into and take out of racks.
  • Inspect merchandise for any damage or breakage prior to shipment or warehouse storage.
  • Record all merchandise discrepancies on appropriate paperwork and report to management.
  • Complete inventory preparation for warehouse stock.
  • Stage merchandise to prepare for shipment as needed.
  • Fill customer order in accordance with Pick Tickets, complete appropriate paperwork, and place a copy with the merchandise for shipment.
  • Scan all orders and print pre-shipment paperwork as appropriate.
  • Operate forklift, palette jack and hand trucks following all safety guidelines.
  • Always maintain a neat and orderly workplace.
  • All warehouse personnel are required to sweep up and remove/dispose of debris.
  • Follow safety procedures in accordance with training and report any dangerous conditions to management immediately.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Additional Skills/Requirements:

  • Good oral, written and reading communication skills.
  • Time management with excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • No experience is required but prior warehouse experience will be considered.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Forklift license, certified by AFR.

Physical and Mental Qualifications:

  • This job will require the employee to stand and walk 90% of the time.
  • Ability to perform simple tasks, rational thinking and numerical calculations is required.
